Blaze statement: COVID-19 VIRUS
Considering guidance from the relevant authorities, the Genting Casino Coventry Blaze would like to confirm that our remaining Elite League home games are set to continue to take place as normal.
Our next home game is on Friday 13th March with a 7.30pm face-off vs. Fife Flyers.
The Elite League and the Blaze will continue to monitor guidance and take note of ongoing developments and any changes to the above will be communicated accordingly.
Over the past few weeks several measures have been put in place taking into consideration the issues surrounding the COVID-19 virus. This has included restricting dressing room and post-game bar visits, sanitising equipment used for match-night games etc.
We would ask all supporters coming to our games, to take note of the guidance from Public Health England:
If you have symptoms of the virus - a cough or a temperature of 37.8C (100F) or more, please stay at home.
If you come to the game, please:
- Wash your hands properly and regularly
- Refrain from unnecessary contact, – e.g. shaking hands and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Throw away any tissue after use, to prevent contamination – ‘Catch It, Bin It, Kill It’
- Don’t share drinks from the same bottle or glass
At our upcoming games, you may be asked or told by match-night staff that things you are used to doing cannot take place.
This will include post-game autograph sessions, being in the vicinity of the Blaze dressing room and certain changes to post-game presentations.
We ask for all supporters to please respect the precautionary measures as will be advised by match-night staff.
Thanks for your understanding.
