Blaze to start the season against Panthers

Genting Casino Coventry Blaze can confirm that their first competitive fixture of the 2016/17 Elite League season will be a Challenge Cup encounter against the holders of the trophy, the Nottingham Panthers at the Skydome Arena on Sunday 4th September (5.15pm face-off).

The full Elite League fixture list is now in the closing stages of being finalised and will be released as soon as all club's and the league have given final approval.

Before that, Blaze will prepare with a bumper pre-season campaign:

Home: Nottingham Panthers - 7:30pm Wednesday 24th August 2016

Home: Destil Tilburg Trappers - 5:15pm Sunday 28th August 2016

Home: Cardiff Devils - 4pm Monday 29th August 2016

Away: Manchester Storm - 7pm Wednesday 31st August 2016

Away: Cardiff Devils - 7pm Saturday 3rd September 2016

Home: Manchester Storm - 7.30pm Wednesday 7th September 2016

Blaze Season tickets include the Manchester Storm Challenge Cup fixture (date tbc), and now you can also purchase a bolt-on to include the other three Challenge Cup games at a discounted price.

Alternatively, you may wish to take advantage of our other bolt-on offer which covers seven games, the four pre-season home fixtures and the three Challenge Cup games which are not included on the Season ticket.

Ticket details for non-season ticket holders will be released in due course. General tickets will be available to purchase around two weeks before the first fixture.

Director of Hockey Operations James Pease who attended the fixtures meeting on behalf of the Blaze said, "It's an exciting time. We're very pleased with how our roster is shaping up and we are working hard to fill the final spots with the right calibre of player to help bring us success. The pre-season campaign is quickly approaching and we hope the fans are excited as we are to get going again. Our record against the Panthers in the Skydome over recent years has been good so we hope to continue that and have a solid start in a competition we are aiming to do well in this season."
