Blaze receive Broll boost
The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze have today received good news regarding the injury to Canadian forward #15 David Broll.
As was first suspected, the 26-year-old hasn’t broken a foot after blocking a shot in the game vs. Manchester Storm. He has however suffered significant bone bruising which will keep him out of the line-up for at least a week or two.
Since arriving in Coventry, the former Toronto Maple Leaf has become a firm fan favourite, having one of his best statistical seasons so far collecting 15 points in 23 Elite League regular season games.
Head Coach Danny Stewart said, "We were fearing the worst, however this news has given us a big boost. David is a big part of our team and our leadership group so we are all thrilled"
Broll commented,"No player ever wants to miss games, and especially for myself this season, I'm loving my hockey right now and playing for the fans of Coventry so this has put a big smile on my face. I can't wait to get back on the ice and help the team in the big stretch of games that we have coming up"
