Curran, 5’10” and with a right shot joins the club direct from the NCAA’s Niagara University where he was an associate Captain playing a total of 131 games with 26 goals, 29 assists for 55 points.
Before his time in the NCAA, the two-way forward began his hockey career with his native Niagra Falls Canucks (GOJHL) before also spending time with Aurora Tigers (OJHL) and Smiths Falls Bears (CCHL).
Head Coach Danny Stewart said, “Johnny is a skilled right-winger who skates well, shoots the puck well and has a good skill set. He can also play centre, so adds versatility and scoring depth to our line-up. He is young, hungry and has the work ethic to go with it. He will bring a lot of energy to our line-up and we are excited to see what he can do at the pro level.”
