Weber and Bruton reflect on semi-final win

Genting Casino Coventry Blaze progressed to the Elite League Playoff final with a 6-2 victory over the Cardiff Devils this afternoon. Following the game Head Coach, Chuck Weber and Man of the Match with a hatrick performance, Chris Bruton spoke to Blaze TV's Ed Kimberley.

"I thought our penalty-kill was fantastic, we had some ideas what we wanted to do to disrupt their break-out and we executed it to a tee. Limiting them to 23 shots was huge. It was just the sacrifice. We blocked a lot of shots. I couldn't be more proud of the total team effort and total team buy in to the adjustments and structure that we put in. There's some things that I've been holding on to since January from an adjustments standpoint that I've had in my back pocket and we made those this week and I couldn't be more proud of the way the boys handled it." - Head Coach, Chuck Weber

"We've had some good starts lately. We're getting some timely goals early and grabbing the momemtum and moving from that... I think the bigger ice helps us, this team's fast and we move the puck well to get into the zone and we're not afraid to work down low and use the width of the ice. Having our fans behind us is pretty special." - #57 Chris Bruton
