Preview: Stars vs. Blaze

Genting Casino Coventry Blaze go into this evening's fixture at the Dundee Ice Arena knowing that a victory will give them the opportunity to jump ahead of the Stars in 7th place on the final day of the Elite League regular season.

Dundee currently sit 4 points ahead of Blaze but two wins this weekend, with one being in regulation time will result in Blaze moving ahead of Marc LeFebvre's team due to their better head-to-head record.

This will be the fourth meeting between the teams this season, with Coventry having won all of the previous three. The last time the teams met was in January when the Blaze won 4-3 in overtime at the Skydome Arena in the Elite League. The last meeting between the teams in Dundee was in December, when the Blaze triumphed 5-1. Coventry have won their last eight games against Dundee, with the Stars’ last victory over the Blaze coming in November 2013.

Two of the three previous meetings between the teams this season have required more than 60 regulation minutes.

Canadian forward Carl Lauzon is your one to watch tonight as the clubs top point scorer in games against the Stars this season with 7 (2+5).

This evening's game will be streamed online via Dundee Stars Live for a price of £8 (purchase here).
